Accessibility Statement

I want this site to work for everyone.

I'm Travelmation Accessible Travel Certified. The website should hold to the same standard, and this page says plainly where it does and where it doesn't yet.

Conformance status

Magical Travel by Ciera, LLC is committed to making magicaltravelbyciera.com usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. The standard I build to is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.

As of August 2026 this site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means most of the site meets the standard and some parts do not yet. What I know falls short is listed below rather than left for you to discover.

What's in place

  • Pages are built from semantic HTML with landmark regions (header, nav, main, footer), and a skip-to-content link is the first thing in the tab order
  • A visible keyboard focus outline on interactive elements, so you can always see where you are on the page
  • Color contrast of at least 4.5:1 for body text and at least 3:1 for non-text interface elements
  • Every image either carries descriptive alt text or is marked decorative so a screen reader passes over it
  • Animation and smooth scrolling respect the prefers-reduced-motion setting in your operating system
  • A responsive layout with no fixed-width text columns, so pages reflow at 200% zoom and down to a 320px-wide screen
  • Plain-language copy — I'd rather explain a travel term than assume you already know the shorthand

Known limitations

These are the parts I can't currently guarantee. If you run into something that isn't on this list, please tell me — the list is meant to shrink.

  • The inquiry forms are not mine. They are built and hosted by TravelJoy on TravelJoy's own site, so their accessibility is TravelJoy's code, not mine, and I haven't had them independently tested.
  • Links to other websites. Trip pages link out to restaurants, hotels, tourism boards and county sites so you can check details at the source. I have no control over how accessible those sites are.
  • New tabs aren't announced consistently. Some links to other sites open in a new browser tab and some replace the page you're on. Where a link opens a new tab it should say so; if one doesn't announce it clearly in your browser or screen reader, that's a rough edge I want to hear about.
  • No independent audit yet. Everything on this page is my own assessment. I have not commissioned a third-party accessibility audit of the site.

Third-party content

Trip inquiry forms are hosted by TravelJoy and open in a new browser tab — nothing is embedded in this site. I've asked TravelJoy to maintain accessibility on their end, but I can't guarantee content I don't control. If a TravelJoy form isn't usable for you for any reason, email cieraeasterday@travelmation.net or call or text (940) 642-0384 — I'll reply with the same questions the form asks, and you can answer however works best for you.

This site also loads Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors move through the pages. What it collects, and how to stop it loading, is described in the privacy policy.

How this was assessed

This statement reflects a self-assessment of every page on magicaltravelbyciera.com completed in August 2026. It combined automated checking with a manual review of the markup, the heading and landmark structure, keyboard focus order, and color contrast measured against the colors the site actually ships. It was not an independent third-party audit, and I say so on purpose — a statement is only worth anything if it's honest about how much work is behind it.

Found a problem?

If you hit an accessibility barrier on this site — anything that stops you finding information or finishing what you came to do — tell me and I'll fix it. There is no form to fill in for this.

Tell me the page address and what happened, in whatever detail is easy for you. I'll reply within two business days. If the fix will take longer than that, I'll say so and give you the information you were looking for in the meantime, so you're not left waiting on a code change to get an answer about a trip.

Standards I measure against

  • WCAG 2.2 Level AA — the target for this site, and the standard the rest of this page is measured against
  • WAI-ARIA 1.2, in the few places ARIA is used
  • EN 301 549 — broadly aligned, since it incorporates WCAG, but I haven't tested against it separately
  • The Americans with Disabilities Act sets no technical standard for websites. WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the benchmark I work to instead
